2.4 Color Palette
Using the University colors in a consistent way reinforces our brand and promotes trust and recognition. Blue and gold are the official colors and the primary palette we use to represent Limestone University. These colors should be used whenever possible.
In University designs, it is preferred that Blue serves as the primary color and Gold as the secondary color.
Primary Color Palette
The official logo colors are Blue (PMS 286C), Limestone Gold (PMS 107C), and white. No other logo colors are acceptable.
Midtone Blue (PMS 659C) is used as an accent to the university logo.

- The Midtone Blue is an accent color and can be used to highlight key information.
- Secondary and neutral colors should only be used sparingly.
- In general, the primary color palette should take up a minimum of 50% of the color design. The secondary color palette should be around 35% and the neutral color palette no more than 15%.
- Always use color purposefully, keeping in mind the proportions shown in the chart.
Color Usage Examples
When applying primary and secondary color palettes to Limestone University materials, balance the use of each against another in proper ratio. Primary colors are most prominent, followed by secondary colors. Use the neutral color palette for background colors and for typography.
